The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has renamed Imo State College of Education Ihitte-Uboma after late Sen. Benjamin Uwajimogu of Imo North.
They governor gave the order during the funeral service of deceased lawmaker in his hometown at Ihitte-Uboma LGA.
“The college of Education Ihitte-Uboma, would henceforth be known as Benjamin Uwajimogu College of Education Ihitte-Uboma,” The governor said.
Late Uwajumogu, until his death on Dec 18, 2019, was the senator of Imo North. He was first elected into the senate in 2017, was reelected in 2019 .
He was the speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2015 . While at the senate , he was the senate committee chairman on Labour and employment .
